FLY FISHING PATAGONIA - lanin: ITYNERARY
You
will fish 9 days in in the province of Neuquen, in northPatagonia.
You will spend 5 night at San Huberto Lodge and 5 nights at Tipiliuke Lodge.
Day 1 to 6
(5N San Huberto Lodge) (Full Board)
Meeting with your fly fishing guides at San Martin or Bariloche Airport.
Transfer to San Huberto.
San Huberto Lodge is located on the center of the 22,000 acre, family owned, Tres Picos Ranch. As a result there are few places that are more restful or peaceful anywhere.
San Huberto Lodge is capable of holding 12 anglers at a time (16 anglers if all are in the same party) and you will be divided over 20 miles of prime trout water everyday. The morning departures are usually very leisurely as the lunch break will take place about 2:00pm. After lunch, and a quick siesta, you are back out to the river for the finest six hours of fishing imaginable. The lodge, staff, service and guides all combine to make this one of the crown jewels of the Argentina angling kingdom.
All of the food is five-star, and starts with vegetables and herbs grown right out the back door of the kitchen. In addition to this, the schedule for all meals and services is very flexible, based upon the finest angling times.
Maleo river
The Maleo, one of Patagonia fisher's favourites. It has diverse conformations: from its scenic meadow section, with the Lanín Volcano dominating the background, to the canyon section or the lower boulder-free stone section, which offers pocket water and willow-lined banks. It is just the "right size" river to fish and you will always see hatches of different types: mayflies, caddis of various kinds, as well as stoneflies and midges. This river offers the fly fisherman sight-fishing opportunities along its 30 kilometers. It is like fishing in a textbook, the classic way
Day 6 to 11 (5N Tipiliuke Lodge) (Full Board)
Transfer to Tipiluke Lodge. The property stretches 14 km./ 9 miles along the Chimehuín river and 7 km. / 4,35 miles along the Quilquihue river. Both are known worldwide for their fish and the magnificence of their water. Everything is arranged for fly fishing anglers to have an unforgettable stay including specialized guides, vehicles, outdoor lunches.
