Climate
It is usually hot in Buenos Aires during summer in south hemisphere from November to April (30 to 35º C during the day).
In Patagonia, near Esquel and more in the mountains, it can be cold: 8 to 20° C average in both November and April , rising up to 22 to 26° C in summer (December, January, February). It rains more at the beginning and at the end of the season, but not during the summer season (January, February).

Fishing Areas
-Malleo River:
The Malleo does not offer just quality fishing, it has a combination of characteristics that makes this river an amazing place to fly fish and enjoy your light tackle.
Crystal clear waters and easy-to-walk bottoms formed by small boulders, gravel and volcanic sand areas which makes wading very easy in most of the sections.
Weed beds and cut banks provide the ideal structure for good size trout, that in many cases go over 20 inches.
Predictable hatches through most of the season always help to plan the best fishing hours. The access to the river is always easy and fast. Internal roads are in great shape and allow us to get very close to the fishing areas.

Fly fishing Guides
Our fly fishing guides are bilingual professional guides with high experience of the area.

Gears

We suggest taking dequate clothing for you are going to places in the mountains, warm but light sweaters and jackets for from rain and wind protection, chest high waders with felt soles, polar fleece long underwader pants, rain jackets, polarized glasses, hat, sunscreen lotion.

Fly fishing equipment
Rods & Reels
Rods   we recommend bringing 2 rods: 6 weight and 4 weight. In case the angler can only bring one it should be a 6 weight rod at the beginning of the season and a 5 from mid season until the end. In high waters and winds the 6 is the best. A 3 weight rod is highly recommended to enjoy the fishing in our 2mile long private spring creek.
Lines:
Mostly anglers use floating lines. Rarely sink tips or shooting heads (teeny 150,200, etc) are used. The real large trout tend to be in the deep water.
Flies
Streamers: Wolly Buggers some with Bead Heads in
black, olive and brown (size 4-10), Rabbits in
cinnamon and white (sizes 2-8), Marabou Muddlers in
black and natural brown (sizes 2-8) and black, brown
and Grizzly Matukas in small sizes from 8 to 14.

Nymphs: Prince ( sizes 12-16), green caddis larva

A selection of terrestrials such as hoppers, ants and
beatles will give you a lot of action in the waters we
will fish.

Time
GMT -3.

Currency
The local currency is the peso. One euro is about 4 pesos and One Usd is about 3 pesos. It is not necessary to travel with a lot of cash (pesos or dollars). Visa, MasterCard or American express are accepted everywhere.

Customs
To enter the country, only a passport is needed (more than 6 months validity).

Health
Nothing is compulsory concerning vaccination. Being vaccinate against Hepatitis B is recommended. And an important point: do not drink water of the tap.

Food
Argentina is well known for its wines, produced mostly in  the province of Mendoza, near the Andes, and… for its fabulous beef! Ask for a "bife de chorizo" or "lomo" and have it with a good red Malbec wine. In Patagonia, don´t miss the Patagonian lamb barbecue, nor the trouts from the lakes nor the Pacific salmons.
If you are a vegetarian: no problem,  Argentina is a great fruit and vegetable producer, so you will find quality and variety at very low prices.
