The apartments are all equipped with kitchen (micro wave), TVs,
Phone, Bathroom. Some residences have sauna. They are situated
in the center of the resort.
Las Leņas lies in the end of a wide valley in the Central Andes
at 1200 Km from Buenos Aires. The base is at 2225 meters. From
the top at 3430 with the chairlift Martes the freeriding area
is amazing. And using the snowbus or just climbing, it becomes
a real paradise...
The snow falls during the winter are about 20 meters at 3400.
The powder is usually really dry.
Ski
level
A good level is required: all mountain skiing or snowboarding
in all kind of snow.
For the skiers, we recommend wide all mountain skis (skate more
of 90 mm).
Physical
condition
A good one is expected. To enjoy your trip, a physical training
is recommended (Mountain bike, in line skate (fitness), jogging).
You're going to ski at 3000 meters and more (4000). The acclimatization
is easier if you are in good shape.
Gears
needed
All your skiing and snowboarding equipment, bag for skiing with
shovel, probe, beacon, helmet, goggles.
We have some beacon, probe and shovel to lend in case of.
Freeride
Guides
They are all professionals and
expert skiers with high knownledge of the area. We use one guide
per group, the same for the 2 weeks (1 guide for 4 riders ).
Equipment
We have 2 4x4 for transfers
at Las Leñas and trips in the valley.
We have 8 packs Beacon / probe / shovel.
 Eating
at Las Leņas
It is normal to eat at Las Leņas for 25 pesos without beverages
and for the dinner in a good restaurant, it costs no more than
45 pesos per person.
Moreover, there is a well supplied supermarket.
Night
life
UFO point and Corona for the discos, wine bars, casino, cinema
(hotel Aries).
And some restaurants...
Currency
The local currency is the peso. 4 Pesos are about 1 euros and 3 Pesos are about 1 U$D.
It is not necessary to travel with a lot of cash (pesos or dollars).
Visa, mastercard or american express are accepted everywhere.
Customs
To enter the country, only a passport is needed.
Health
Nothing is compulsory concerning vaccinations. Being vaccinate
against Hepatitis B is recommended. We advise NOT drinking tap water.
