Guides and coordination
The program begins and ends at Trelew airport. All groups will be led by expert guides specialized in outdoor activities in Peninsula Valdés natural environments. During the tour, a coordinator will escort the group from the moment of arrival to the moment of departing back to visitor’s place of origin.
Notes
Zekeseven reserves the right to modify itineraries or cancel activities due to weather conditions or other justifiable cause whatsoever to preserve each visitor’s safety. No previous camping experience required.
Safety
Medical assistance is NOT included in the program. However, accompanying guides do carry basic First Aids kit and VHF communication equipment in case any emergency situation arises.
Provided equipements
Navigation equipment:
- Double touring kayaks
- Paddles, PFDs (lifejackets)
- Drybags for personal belongings (2x10 liters + 1x20 liters)
- Spray skirts, bilge pumps, paddle floats, towlines, repair kits
Clothing:
- Short John style neoprene suit
- Waterproof anoraks
- Neoprene paddling pogies
Camp gear:
- Tents for double occupancy
- Tables and seats
- Portable stove and cooking utensils
- Personal dishware and cutlery
- Bags for gear and food.
To wear during the paddling day
- Synthetic short sleeved T-shirt
- Synthetic (capilene or the like) or wool long-sleeved top baselayer
- Long trekking pants or the like
- Long synthetic underwear or bottom baselayer (capilene, polypropylene or the like).
- Polar fabric/fleece pullover/jacket
- Woolen or synthetic socks
- Sneakers or neoprene booties
- Explorer style and/or baseball sun cap
- UV filter sunglasses
Extra set of clothing for wearing around camp
- Sleeping bag (-5ºC / 15ºC)
- Sleeping pad, self–inflating Therm-a-Rest mattress or the like recommended
- Synthetic underwear
- Long trekking pants
- Short trekking pants
- Synthetic long-sleeved top baselayer (capilene, polypropylene or the like)
- Synthetic short sleeved T-shirt
- Polar fabric/fleece pullover
- Warm rainproof jacket with hood
- Synthetic socks (2 pairs)
- Light hiking footwear or the like
- Woolen or polar fabric hat
- Toiletry kit
Explanations and recommendations
All clothing plus camp gear, food and water will be loaded in the kayak’s watertight bullheaded compartments. Hull capacity is limited, therefore, we ask you to strictly stick to the list of suggested equipment. Each passenger will be supplied with three (3) drybags: 1x10 liters for the sleeping bag, 1x10 liters + 1x20 liters for clothing and personal belongings..
