Day 1 Bariloche – Valle Encantado – Paso Cordoba – San Martin de los Andes
We start the itinerary towards the north visiting the “Valle Encantado”; its strange volcanic rocks appeared during the formation of the Andes Range. Shapes and abstract forms create a fascinating landscape between the Patagonian steppe and the Andean forest. Along the valley it is easy to observe condors and its environment. After crossing the bridge over Alicura lake, we take the gravel road towards the west along Traful river until the entrance of Lanin National Park. The road continues up hill to the mountain pass of Cordoba (1300 mts). Several forested Estancias are located in the area. Arrival in San Martin de los Andes, located on the coast of Lacar Lake. Day 2 San Martin de los Andes – Villa Pehuenia
We take the scenic road of Pehuenia circuit that includes the Valley of Alumine river, Pulmari, Ñorquinco and Moquehue lakes. The Pehuenia Zone is the region of the Pehuenes or sacred Araucarias (monkey-puzzle tree), which cover these lands of volcanic origin. Day 3 Villa Pehuenia
Visit to Batea Mahuida Volcano which has a lagoon in its crater and a sandy coast made of volcanic sand, part of the visit by car and the last part on foot. During the ascend we go through an Araucarias and Ñires (Nothofaugs) forest, from the top of the Volcano there is an amazing view of the famous volcanos, Llaima, Villarrica and Lanin. The volcano and the surroundings belong to a native community called “Puel”.

Day 4 Villa Pehuenia – Pino Hachado - Caviahue
We continue towards the north along Road Nr 23 to the International Pass “Pino Hachado. After we point to the little town of Loncopue close to a volcanic formation of Riscos Bayos and the spectacular “Cajon del Haucupen” where we observe isolated stone houses and corrals, used by the Mapuches to breed their cattle during the summer months. Finally towards the west the scenery change to a high mountain landscape. Arrival in Caviahue, located in the middle of Cordillera de los Andes, on the foot of Copahue Volcano and its geothermal basement. Lodge at Hosteria Kallfu.

Day 5 Caviahue - Malargüe
oday journey the road crosses the Patagonian steppe and the south of Mendoza Province. The itinerary starts along Agrio River until Huecu, visit to “ Salto del Agrio”, a water fall of 60 meters surrounded with basaltic columns. Then the road runs to the north, the volcanic landscape characterized the area up the the town of Chos Malal. Taking Ruta 40 to Buta Ranquil , Barrancas, we will observe the peak of Tromen Volcano (4114 mts). Crossing the bridge over Barrancas River, we leave the patagonian region to enter the “Cuyo” region.
The road goes along Rio Grande where it is easy to observe black lava balls and on the shores of the river, condor´s resting platforms. Arrival in Malargüe. Lodge at Hotel Risco Plateado.

Day 6 Malargue - Posada Salentein
Drive to Valle del Uco, the youngest wine region of Mendoza Province. The Vineyards are cultivated at a range of elevation among the highest of the world (900 m.-1200 m.) and are irrigated with pure mountain water from the Andes. The ideal micro climate produces perfect ripening condition for the grapes. Lodge at Posada Salentein, located in front of a vineyard.

Day 7 Salentein - Mendoza
Posada Salentein is located in Finca La Pampa, in Tunuyan, 100 km south of Mendoza city. Guided tour to the Cellar “Bodega Salentein”, visit Killka (art gallery and wine shop), horseback riding/walking around the vineyards. Transfer to Mendoza city.
