See below one of our trips: A kayak trip in North Patagonia.
This trip begins at San Carlos de Bariloche city, from where we travel to Lake Correntoso, in the province of Neuquén. After preparing and loading our kayaks, we set off and immediately begin to share a true natural treasure: the Lake District of North Patagonia, where the Nahuel Huapi National Park preserves unique forests of native species and where the snow-capped mountains and volcanoes seem close-to-touch as we paddle in awe of their beautiful reflection on the water. During the trip, we can appreciate the transition from the wet forest to the steppe, where in only 31 miles the amount of rainfall drops from 138 to 10 inches a year.

Day 1 3-star hotel

Day 2 Camp, full board
After breakfast, 7:55 am flight to Bariloche, arriving at 10:15 am. Transfer to Lake Correntoso, where we become acquainted with our kayaks and the rest of the group while packing. After a briefing on kayaking safety and orientation, we are ready to begin our trip. We will kayak on this lake throughout the day, enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

Day 3 to 5 Camp, full board
During these days, we complete the tour around Lake Correntoso, and kayak along one of the shortest rivers in the world, the Correntoso River, to then enter the sea-sized Nahuel Huapi Lake as part of a magical tour. We spend the following three days kayaking always eastwards, towards the Rincón and Machete Lake tributaries and Victoria Island with its unique myrtle (arrayán) woods.

Day 6, 7 Camp, full board
We leave the lake behind to enter the plentiful Limay River, which carries the waters of all the Atlantic basin lakes. "Limay" means "crystal-clear" in Mapuche native tongue. Already in the heart of the steppe, we stop at a ranch to witness the Patagonian past by taking part in an archaeological excavation, where experts will teach and guide us. In the evening, we enjoy a typical Patagonian lamb barbecue. On the following day, we reach the place where the Limay and Traful rivers meet. The first trout caught at the Traful River was back in 1903..

Day 8, 9 Camp, full board
After a full breakfast, we set forth on a 2-day trip to tour the last of the lakes formed by the Alicurá Dam: Lake Ezequiel Ramos Mejía. This lake has an interesting history, with several ranches ending up underwater and a ghost town in the midst of the beautiful landscape, home to 7000 people during the building of the dam. A van will then take us back to Bariloche where our expedition will end. Gear: Special attention should be paid to this section as to guarantee your safety and comfort while kayaking. Back in Bariloche, evening free.
