Mount
Agoncagua with 6962 meters above sea level, is the highest mountain of all America and is part of the Seven Summit Tour which consists of climbing and reaching the highest summits of each continent.
Climbing Mount Aconcagua is a human adventure.
This season, we propose you 2
types of expeditions:
- the climbing expedition by the normal
route.
- the climbing expedition by the north west route of the glacier
Polacos and then
by the direct route.
Both expeditions can be private
or open: as to the private expedition, the climber can choose his own team members and the expedition starting date.
Difficulties
To leave your modern life style for adventure requires imagination and energy.
Being prepared to accept difficulties will lead to success. Please consider the following items:
Technical
The northwest route and the normal route don't present any technical difficulties. Experience in ice or rock climbing is not needed. You can make it walking. As to the route conditions: crampons, ropes and ice axes will be useful. Guides take all the security decisions.
Physical
To avoid acclimatization disadvantages and to increase the possibilities of success, we advise special physical training followed by a special diet 2 or 3 months before starting date.
Others
The main difficulty could be the altitude effect, but can be avoided by proper acclimatization before climbing (included in the program).
Undesired low temperature effects will decrease with special clothing gear.
